visitors saw fun
Terrier Racing
this year. We had a new Band -
great pricing on Beers and Teas
- and lots of Free things to do
especially for the Children with
Slippery Pole Fights as featured
on BBC's Blue Peter
and of
course - we had the
hilarious
National
Egg Throwing Championships ! |

2010

Wow - what a scorcher - the sun
was out all day in the 30s and
we had our best attendance yet.
We had Circus Skills on show in
the centre and the tea and beer
tents were busier than ever.
For
the first time we had two pairs
drawing at 54m and so sharing
the honour of being National Egg
Throwing Champions and holders
of the Brown Cup for a year.
Ferret Bingo was a
highlight - how whacky can it
get ?

Shown
in The Times Weekend
supplement as one of
Britain's best Village Fête's
and also seen in Country Life,
we had visitors from London and
Overseas despite the poor
weather.
This
year we had
Terrier
Racing back. After
successfully trialling it in
2007 it was even more popular
this year. The day's weather was
mixed and it rained at a
critical time around 4pm which
lost us some of our visitors but
the tent coverage was sufficient
to keep most. A great fun day.

Sun
!
Animals always play a big part
at the
Fête
and have included Cows, Turkeys,
Donkeys and Dogs.
Tug-o-War had the children
pulling against a massive
Tractor - we all thought they
were winning but then the
tractor went into Reverse gear - the
children had no chance !

| This year we had three sessions of Punch & Judy as well as Magic.
The kids were spellbound !
Terrier Racing
proved as exciting as anything at a Fête can be. I think we could have
raced all afternoon but there was some serious interest in the
accumulator we were running - the pot was successfully won - but not by
this webmaster unfortunately who came close with 4 out of 5 correct.

What
a fabulous day - the weather was
perfect - but our numbers were
down as the M25 was closed all
day anticlockwise and the A25
was jam-packed - what a shame.
