Tandridge
Village Fête
. . . "home
of the National Egg Throwing Championships"
For as long as anyone can
remember Tandridge Village has held it's annual Fête
- 2nd Saturday in July.
It started off with the usual English favourites of
"Catch the Rat" , "Welly Throwing", "Hoopla", "Name the
Turkey" but quickly progressed into the BIG STUFF -
Slippery Pole Fights and the National Egg Throwing
Championships.
Funds raised go towards
local projects for St. Peter's Church, St. Peter's
School and towards funding of the Village Hall. But it
isn't just about raising money - we see this as a
Community Event drawing people together in having a fun
time and where visitors go away feeling they've had real
value for money too.
* * 2011 ~ a brilliant event once again * *
Thank you to all those that helped make
Tandridge Village Fete 2011 such a brilliant event once
again. We are so lucky to draw upon many like-minded
helpers all trying to achieve the same result - getting
everyone to have a good time without having to spend
lots. We had a record number of visitors throughout the
afternoon.
"Tandridge
Village Fete is so much Fun - quite unlike other Fetes
my family go to" Mrs M. Croydon
"Thank you Tandridge for a great afternoon - we stayed
to the end and loved the Egg Throwing" Jean & Tom
