Haxted Mill

Situated in the beautiful Eden Valley, this award winning restaurant with its beamed dining room in winter, and wonderful candlelit terrace overlooking the mill race & pond for dining Alfresco in the summer, is well worth a visit.

The Ancient Yew Tree

The yew tree, believed to be up to 5,000 years old, will also feature in a documentary being made by the BBC for the Open University. St Peter's Church itself, though modernised in Edwardian times, still shows signs of its ancient origins in the Saxon oak beams which support its bell tower.

St. Peter's Church

St Peter's is the only worship centre in the Tandridge village community. It was of some importance particularly in Anglo-Saxon times in giving its name to one of the thirteen Hundred districts into which Surrey was divided. It is popular with walkers who find it featured in most walking guides to the area particularly as it has the second largest Yew tree in UK.

North Tandridge History Centre

The Caterham and District Local History Centre (formerly the North Tandridge Local History Centre) has carried out an exciting project to digitise 1000 images drawn mainly from the photograph collection at Caterham Valley Library, and use them to produce electronic resources for educational purposes and to promote local history.

Barley Mow

The Barley Mow is a traditional pub in the village of Tandridge, Kent. Set in a rural area but with easy access to London, Gatwick Airport and many local places of interest.

Tandridge Border Path

The Tandridge Border Path is a 50 mile circular walk around the District boundary and was developed in 2000 to commemorate the millennium. The Path was created by Per-Rambulations (This link will open in a new window), sponsored by Tandridge District Council, supported by Surrey County Council and is now accepted as a long distance footpath by the Long Distance Walkers Association.
